A small town in Eastern Poland with the most beautiful rococo palace is the scene of another project which the freespirit Group took part in. We are in the building of a high school where a poster informing about African Week hangs in the school hall and is a talking point. The boys are allowed to use the sports equipment at the school, very exciting!

The children are sleeping in the gym, a ping – pong table appears nearly instantly, the children get their designated showers, each their own and they are delighted!

I love Polish school’ says Emmanuel

The governor highlights the importance of the visit of young Africans and their participation in the project. We have a long list of holiday activities, we spend some amazing moments in Radzyn.

The sports games in Biala are well planned, Ghana wins 18:15, it’s great fun. The ladies from the Womens Institute made sure nobody went hungry and we received more presents: 3 suitcases, sandals for every child and leggins for the girls.

We do not forget about education while on holiday, a few hours of computer work and seeing Moree through a satellite are the highlight. We were also visited by representatives of a company producing cheeses who told us all about the process of making cheese and milk supply to the factory.

We received a few barbecue invites and the Polish countryside surprised us, the farms are well equipped and have many attractions, mini zoos. We were dined like kings.

The children from Ghana give a beautiful performance at Plac Wolnosci, they also dance with local kids a couple of African dances and to finish off they perform an energetic zumba with the participants of the summer event in Radzyn.

There was a lot of ‘firsts’ during this summer: first time visit to a forest, first ride on a horse and a horse cart, boys skateboarded, everyone cycled. Thank you for this beautiful holiday.
