Trip to Elmina - 15 August 2008

The children visited one of the oldest castles in Africa – it was built by the Portuguese in 1482 and later on taken over by the Dutch was used as a base for slave traders. It was a significant trip as Ghana was celebrating 50 years of independence. After the sightseeing we did some dancing and enjoyed a picnic and games. The children came back very happy and it was a big boost before the new school year.

Performance at the Moree Library - August 2008

The children performed for Freespirit Foundation president – Krystyna Choszcz who was visiting Moree. During this visit a decision was made for the children to attend the library regularly. In our art group there are children aged 8-15. Some of them started their education thanks to the help the Foundation provided them with. For a long time we have had a big turnover of group memebers but thanks to the support we were giving, determination and passion, the group has become a strong entity. Membership of the group, taking part in festivals and other trips give the children lots of new experiences

Opening of the Library - February 2008

Many children in Moree have passion for dance. They are very eager to learn traditional dances and play African instruments. Esprit de corps, joint trainings and trips, broadening the knowledge about other regions are the values that aid form a young human being in a very positive way. They stimulate them to train and learn even harder. Activities in our library are an important supplement to education of the children – members of the Art Group.  The Group first performance took place at the opening of the Moree Library on 16th February 2008 which was a very important moment for the Foundation, the two original projects coming together.
